Lindsay Carpenter, of Nordstrom, will be presenting a wonderful workshop on how to create first impressions and how to practice effective communication professionally and socially. Join us for lunch and this engaging speaker.
About Lindsay:
Lindsay graduated from San Jose State University and was selected as one of 50 Most
Outstanding Women on campus. She was contracted through a grant at the Kellogg Foundation
to train Board of Directors in soft skills. She has worked for United Way and Santa
Clara County Board of Supervisors planning committee. In 1986, Lindsay joined Nordstrom.
By 1990, she was the Training Director of Northern California. She waspromoted to
Director of Training and Development of the California/Southwest Business Unit in
1996. This business group consisted of stores in seven western states, contributing
over 5陆 billion dollars in sales and employing over 30,000 people. In this capacity,
she supervised all training conducted in over 60 Nordstrom facilities.
