Circulation Service
Circulation Service at the Circulation Desk provides the lending of ÐÔÅ«µ÷½Ì-Madrid library materials during all hours of library operation.
Library staff and student staff are available to answer questions and help you to locate, check out and return books and other materials.
This service is offered to students, faculty and staff with a valid ÐÔÅ«µ÷½Ì ID.
Visitors who would like to consult the library's resources will need to write to library-madrid@slu.edu explaining their reasons for wishing to use the library. Once authorization is granted, the visitor will be given reader privileges and be extended a visitor's pass for a stipulated time period.

Students who have not returned a textbook on reserve the day after borrowing it will have an automatic fine of 5 euros as well as 0.30 euros for each day the textbook remains out.
Students with other overdue materials will incur a fine of 0.30 euros for each day the item remains out.
No fines will be charged on books (except for textbooks), if returned within seven days after the due date. Patrons returning books after the seven-day grace period will be charged the fine, retroactive to original date due.
Fines should be paid when overdue materials are returned.
The library administration sends out reminders about overdue materials on a regular basis, which patrons are asked to honor. Failure to receive a notice does not, however, exempt a borrower from the responsibility to return materials on time and does not constitute grounds for cancellation of fines or fees.
Students who lose and/or return items in a damaged condition will be asked to pay a replacement or repair fee.
