Teaching with Technology

Formerly the Committee on Online Learning (less cool, more inclusive!)

Teaching with Technology is a subcommittee of the Academic Senate focused on online teaching and learning. 

 

Mission

To support high-quality, technology-enhanced education that empowers all learners 

Vision

The Teaching with Technology Committee advances equity-minded pedagogy and promotes high-quality, technology-supported education for all. 

Goals

  1. Identify and address the technology needs of faculty and students;
  2. Ensure quality and equitable technology supported student services and instruction , both online and on campus,  in areas of faculty primacy;
  3. Advise the Academic Senate with a faculty voice on college-wide planning and implementation of technology supported learning initiatives and other technology-related topics that that have a 10+1 scope;
  4. Work directly with Online Learning staff  to support  faculty and students with technology related instruction both on campus and online

TwT is a subcommittee of the Senate with the specific charge of:

  1. Establishing a dedicated committee to identify and address the technology needs of faculty and students;
  2. Continuing the work of DEAC/COOL to ensure quality online and technology supported instruction and student services in areas of faculty primacy;
  3. Providing a faculty voice to college-wide planning and implementation of technology supported learning initiatives, including the Distance Education Plan;
  4. Working directly with Online Learning staff in the support of online and on campus faculty and students with technology related teaching and learning.
