Fireside Chat on Dimensions of Dignity Is January 24

The Emerson Leadership Institute (ELI) at ÐÔÅ«µ÷½Ì’s Chaifetz School of Business and Barry-Wehmiller will co-present A Dialogue on Dimensions of Dignity, a fireside chat exploring the critical role of dignity in leadership and organizational culture. The event will take place on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in DuBourg Hall 240 (Pere Marquette Gallery) at ÐÔÅ«µ÷½Ì.

This fireside chat, part of ELI’s 2024-2025 Dignity-Based Leadership Development Series, brings together prominent scholars and leaders to discuss how dignity impacts organizational culture, employee well-being, and job satisfaction. The session will explore practical strategies leaders can adopt to foster dignity and create a workplace culture of belonging and organizational flourishing.

The program begins with breakfast and networking from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., followed by welcome remarks from ÐÔÅ«µ÷½Ì Provost Mike Lewis, Ph.D. The main panel discussion runs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with a Q&A session concluding the event from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This event highlights ELI’s mission to develop well-rounded and empathetic leaders who prioritize dignity and belonging in their organizations. It builds on the Institute’s efforts to address pressing leadership challenges in modern workplaces, where dignity violations can undermine relationships and productivity.

The fireside chat is part of ELI’s year-long Leadership Development Series, which includes retreats, symposiums, and workshops designed to cultivate leadership skills, build high-performing teams, and create cultures of respect and inclusion.
