Health Updates Related to 2019 Novel Coronavirus: Travel Precautions

February, 4, 2020

As was previously shared, the Student Health Center and Employee Health continue to monitor the global concern related to the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus.

As promised, we are following up on the emails shared with the campus community last week with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

While the CDC confirms the risk to the American public is currently low, the CDC is now recommending that, regardless of whether someone is experiencing symptoms, those who have traveled to China within the last 14 days should stay home and monitor their health until the 14-day incubation period has passed.

As a reminder, the University also has launched a new webpage, where you鈥檒l find FAQs about the coronavirus and other helpful information. Visit the page here:www.slu.edu/health-advisory.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Student Health Center atshc@health.slu.eduor 314-977-2323, or Employee Health atemployeehealth@slu.eduor 314-268-5499.

Thank you,
